The sun is warm and the sand is just the perfect temperature for sculpting, shaping and smoothing your dream Medieval Sandcastle! Whether you're inspired to keep it in the sand, or move your castle into a cloudy Medieval countryside, you're sure to have a blast this Summer competition!

With the endless Sandcastle and Medieval items to build with, (not to mention the approaching Medieval Town Collections), let nothing hold you back from your creative goals!

Rooms can be entered in the Medieval Sandcastle Competition anytime between Saturday, August 3rd at 7:00 P.M. Eastern Time (4:00 P.M. Pacific Time) and Saturday, August 10th, 2019, at 4:00 P.M. Pacific Time.

Please make sure to read and follow all directions before submitting your entry.

1. To register for the contest, you need to go to the room you want to enter. Click on the "I" button for your room, and then click "enter contest." The competition entry form will be displayed. Then, just fill out the entry form to submit your room in the competition. Any furni in the room will be automatically stored.

2. You may enter one room per character. The deadline for entering is 4:00 P.M. Pacific Time (7:00 P.M. Eastern Time), Saturday, August 10th, 2019.

3. In the Medieval Sandcastle Room Contest having others help you with your room is okay. (Only the owner of the room receives the awards.)

4. You may enter any type of room for the Medieval Sandcastle Competition. Including rides, as long as they do not exit the entry room. All teleporters should not exit to another room.

5. Rooms in the competition will be locked one hour before evaluation begins, and you will be unable to make any further changes to your entry.

VFK Memorial Day Weekend 2019 Racing Extravaganza - Race Day Results!

Congratulations to all our racing participants, this year's VFK Memorial Day Weekend Racing Extravaganza has never been so exciting!

As each racer ran the race course on Sunday, the servers received over 300 incremental reports indicating where the racer's car was on the track for each race. Each of these 300 reports includes not only the location of the car, but also time, velocity and direction. Taken together with the start and end server times recorded on the server, this race was amazing in every way!

This prestigious motor race is one of the oldest motor racing events worldwide and all the excitement starts this Friday!

For our Eleventh Anniversary celebration we have a complete schedule of events commencing Friday, May 24th.

New race courses which will challenge even the most experienced racer have been specially designed for this Eleventh Anniversary racing event! Look for the exciting new courses on the Open Roads map starting Friday, May 24th, 2019, which is opening Day for motor sports practice!

Please make sure to read and follow all directions before submitting your entry.

1. To register for the contest, you need to go to the room you want to enter. Click on the "I" button for your room, and then click "enter contest." The competition entry form will be displayed. Then, just fill out the entry form to submit your room in the competition. Any furni in the room will be automatically stored.

2. You may enter one room per character. The deadline for entering is 4:30 P.M. Pacific Time (8:30 P.M. Eastern Time), Wednesday, May 1st, 2019.

3. In the VFK Garden Room Contest having others help you with your room is okay. (Only the owner of the room receives the awards.)

4. You may enter any type of room for the VFK Garden Room Competition. Including rides, as long as they do not exit the entry room. All teleporters should not exit to another room.

5. Rooms in the competition will be locked one hour before evaluation begins, and you will be unable to make any further changes to your entry.

So get shoveling and create the garden of your dreams!

"What time it is?" When you ask this question, you usually get a reply with "o'clock" in it. But, what does o'clock actually mean? The answer lies back when people were not used to clocks yet, so when people would ask for the time of day, to know if someone was giving you an answer based on a clock and not a sundial, they would say "o'clock" which is just a shortened term for "of the clock." When the answer was clearly not correct according to where the sun was, the sun would be the deciding factor, and sun time would be used instead of the clock time. On today's quest, let's find out more about clocks and time, and why the sun is in the middle of it all!

Lazarus has finished readying the next step on your path to Blue Frost Initiate Wizard, the Cursed Conundrum! On this cursed quest, you will be required to deal with deactivating the curse placed on an object and practicing the art of changing fire to frost!

This quest requires that you have great wizardly power, so you must have fully charged up your wizardly power before you can embark on the quest. Remember you must also have reached the level of an Apprentice Wizard and have completed Lazarus' Elemental Excursion!

You can begin Lazarus' Cursed Conundrum today! After you complete the quest, your Wizardly power will be depleted and you will need to regenerate the strength necessary before continuing your quest for Blue Frost Wizard Initiate Power! Why is it called EpicAges?

We have always had EpicAges as a central part of our world. One of our goals is to avoid confusion between the download desktop version of VFK and the online browser version. So, it seemed a natural choice to use EpicAges for the download version.

Is EpicAges a different world?

No, it is still VFK, but as a download desktop version.

Are there differences between the EpicAges Desktop Version and the browser version?

The EpicAges Desktop Version is faster for loading items. This is because the items are cached, so once you have seen an item, it will load virtually instantly every time after that. So, the more you use the EpicAges Desktop Version, the faster everything loads. This means blue blobs can be essentially a thing of the past.

The EpicAges Desktop Version also has enhancements to IM and other features that are available because it is a desktop version. For instance you can take pictures of your rooms, save them, and manage the pictures.

What types of computers will the download EpicAges Desktop Version work on?

Because the EpicAges Desktop Version is created using Adobe Air, it will run on all of the platforms that are supported by Adobe Air. These include most Windows and Macintosh computers.

How do I get the EpicAges Desktop Version?

The EpicAges Desktop Version is only available to those with VFK accounts. If you would like to participate in the early Beta test of the EpicAges Desktop Version there is an EpicAges item on the Menu in VFK. This will display a form, and you can submit this form to be part of the the EpicAges Beta Program.

The EpicAges Beta Program is currently restricted and there will only be a limited number of participants randomly selected each day. If you are selected you will receive a popup from staff giving you information about participating in the EpicAges Beta Program.

Can I log more than one character in at a time using the EpicAges Desktop Version?

At this time you can only login one character at a time. However, it will be possible to login more than one at the same time after the early testing is completed.

Some of the more dramatic and visually stunning butterflies are in the blue or black color range. This range of colors seen in butterflies can include not only the iridescent blues, but boldly patterned butterflies where the dark blues and blacks provide an extreme contrast to other splashes, bands and spots of lighter vivid colors.
